Dear Med Soc Group Member,
Please be advised that the Sociology of Mental Health Study Group of the BSA Medical Sociology Group will be hosting a joint seminar series with the Survivor Researcher Network between January and June next year. The title of the series is Researching in Mental Health: Sociological and Service User/Survivor Perspectives. There will be six, monthly events, taking place at the British Library in London, beginning on 12th January with a panel session, 'Mental health research by and with service-users/survivors: opportunities and barriers', chaired by Professor Peter Beresford. Funding has been generously provided by the SHI Foundation and so the events are free of charge and there are a small number of travel bursaries available to enable those who are unwaged or on a low income to attend. Please contact me or see the Study Group web site (details below) for further information and a registation form.
Best wishes,
Lydia Lewis
