And is being compassionate any compensation for lousy care given to our
elderly because quality nursing is not valued, unskilled "carers" are used
and the care is not great all the time (yes, some of it is very good), and
who can speak for these elderly people.
If there was something serious wrong with me I would rather have a GP who
got on with the job than one who patted my hand and showed "compassion".
When all the fabulous GPs and nurses in primary care have been replaced with
the Government's bright ideas someone is going to say "Oh dear" those
fabulous people are extinct!
And on that subject I think general physicians are now extinct. Patients
being admitted (if they do get admitted) get the primary cause or most
obvious problem dealt with, but the basics of good health care are ignored!
