The Centre, which is celebrating over ten years at the leading edge of events management education, is recognised internationally for its pioneering programmes and research portfolio. The UK Centre for Events Management is now one of the largest of its kind in the world and boasts a winning team responsible for developing innovative courses that are attracting record numbers of students each year. Located within the Leslie Silver International Faculty, our courses are international in focus and support the university ethos of internationalisation, festivals and partnerships. Our provision includes undergraduate and post graduate programmes through to a growing community of PhD research students. To build on this success and our developing research community we are again looking to develop our team of educators and researchers for the next stage of our strategic development.
We welcome applications from experienced educators and researchers as well as new blood appointments from graduates and industrialists who wish to establish academic careers in events related disciplines.
We are seeking applicants from a variety of backgrounds who could strengthen our events team and who can contribute to teaching, research, partnerships, consultancy and engagement with industry.
The position requires applicants to have at least a first degree and preferably a post graduate degree in a related discipline. Applicants should ideally have experience of working in an events related area and should be able to contribute to programmes in the following broad areas:
* Conference and Exhibitions Management
* Event Fundraising and Sponsorship
* Events Management
* Festivals Management
* Managing Cultural and Major Events
* Responsible Events
* Sports Events Management
