No Barriers, No Borders - advocacy and peer support for disabled asylum
seekers and refugees report:
· tells the story of how the group No Barriers, No Borders was set up.
· contains accounts of the experiences of a number of disabled asylum
seekers and refugees In Sheffield and elsewhere, who are trying to access
public services and survive the immigration process.
· The report includes good practice recommendations for supporting and
working with disabled asylum seekers and refugees.
This report should be read by those people who make decisions about the way
people's claims for asylum are processed, those who implement these
policies, public service providers, Disability Activists, academics,
community organisations and by voluntary sector groups which support asylum
seekers and refugees in the UK.
