1 TEMPORARY (8 Month) LECTURESHIP (REF: HUM/????) – UP TO GRADE 6
POINT 35.
Social Anthropology at Manchester is seeking a temporary lecturer to
replace a member of staff for the second semester of this academic
year (2008-9). The lecturer should have an ability to teach at both
undergraduate and postgraduate level. In particular, the applicant
should be able to advise on undergraduate dissertation topics and,
possibly, teach a course on developing dissertations. The successful
applicant will enjoy the benefits of working in an internationally
recognised Social Anthropology department and will have the
opportunity to build up their own research profile. The post is due
to begin in late January 2009 or as soon as possible thereafter, and
will be tenable for 8 months, giving applicants an opportunity to
work on their own research during the summer months. Applicants may
have a specialism in any area of Social Anthropology.
