Morning,
I've found a little issue within banks and their lowered counter
provision - that they may not be manned all the time! Each teller point
has a 'user' teller; i.e. one person who is assigned that particular
counter. This means that although they may have adequate provision, as
staff move around for operational reasons, lunch, or sickness; their
lowered areas may be out of action. I have spoken to bank managers about
this, but their procedures are governed by banking rules and legislation
covering accountability and the like, so unless the bank has more than
one lowered counter (in small branches not likely), they can be
potentially useless.
Quite a knotty one?
Rob

Subject: Counters in Banks
Good morning,
Is there any information/documentation anywhere relating to making bank
counters/tellers accessible? for example providing a lowered counter.
I have plenty of info on ATMs but nothing relating to the interior of
banks.
could any point me in the right direction?
Cheers
