1st Call for Papers
STAFFORDSHIRE CONFERENCE ON CLINICAL BIOMECHANICS, " Extremus in
Extremis "
April 17 - 18, 2009 - Stoke on Trent, UK
7th conference on clinical biomechanics will be hosted by Staffordshire
University at the University Campus, Stoke on Trent. As in previous
years, this conference, while providing a forum for information
dissemination on clinical biomechanics, will facilitate discussion on
research and case studies in the field of applied biomechanical
principles to the treatment of patients and foot protection. This
conference will focus on lower limb biomechanics with an emphasis on
foot and footwear. The meeting will also give opportunities to
participate in workshops/ instructional lectures.
Our Keynote and Invited Speakers will include:
Professor Joseph Hamill, Professor of Biomechanics, University of
Massachusetts, Boston, USA; Dr Christopher MacLean, Director of
Biomechanics, Paris Orthotics Ltd., Vancouver, Canada; Professor Nicola
Maffulli, Professor of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, Keele University,
UK; Professor Anthony Ward, Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine, North
Staffordshire Hospital -Rehabilitation Centre, Stoke-on-Trent, UK
CALL FOR PAPERS
Short abstracts are to be submitted by post or e-mail by 6th February,
2009.
The text should be limited to two pages of A4, with the first page to
include the Title of Presentation, Author(s), Corresponding Author's
Name, Address, Telephone number and e-mail address. Second page should
include a full abstract with introduction, methodology, results and
discussion.
Acceptance of abstracts will be communicated to the corresponding
authors
by: 28th February, 2009
