Dear All,
BMJ Group at Online: sneak preview of the new Best Practice resource
I hope you can join me and the rest of the BMJ Group team, at Online
Information this week.
Best Practice is a new clinical information resource that packages
evidence, opinion and guidelines into an intuitive interface that makes it
quick and easy for students, researchers, practitioners and patients to
find answers to medical questions.
Stand 226, Wednesday 3 December, 11am
Drop by at 11am on Wednesday for a preview of Best Practice by the Editor,
Dr Charles Young, who will demonstrate how Best Practice can be used for
reference, learning and decision support:
Reference: researchers can check key clinical facts and identify
evidence gaps to inform ongoing research
Learning: medical students can learn how to interpret and apply
evidence within a consultation context
Support: practitioners can consult a second opinion on diagnosis,
intervention and patient management decisions.
Free USB sticks for the first 350 delegates
Best Practice is scheduled for launch in early 2009. It will form part of a
suite of evidence-based resources offered by the new BMJ Evidence Centre.
The BMJ Evidence Centre aims to eliminate uncertainty from health care by
ensuring that validated evidence is readily accessible for clinical
application. To make sure the information you need is always at hand,
collect a free BMJ Evidence Centre USB stick from stand 226 in exchange for
your business card.
Please respond to this email if you would like to arrange an advance
appointment; otherwise, we will look forward to you dropping by the BMJ
Group stand 226, where we'll also be able to update you on the full range
of BMJ Group publications.
Kind Regards
