The aim of Pre-Ordinary meetings is to make the read papers more
accessible to PhD students, young statisticians and those not familiar
with the area discussed in the read paper.
The meetings will be held on the afternoon before RSS read paper and
consist of two talks providing introduction to the area covered by the
read paper and discussing current problems. One of the talks will be
normally given by the author(s) of the read paper. Additional
contributions are welcome in the form of posters following the talks. We
would particularly encourage PhD students and young statisticians to
present their work.
