CSIRO is Australia's largest scientific research agency, delivering outcomes of benefit to the Australian economy, society and environment through excellence in science and technology. CSIRO Mathematical and Information Sciences has a team of 140 scientists working to develop new methodologies and deliver innovative solutions to government, business and industry. Professor Louise Ryan, currently Head of Biostatistics at Harvard School of Public Health, will be joining us as our new Chief in February 2009. Three senior positions are now being advertised to strengthen the senior leadership team. Two Research Program Leaders are required to develop and implement the longterm strategic vision of their respective areas, while the Theme Leader position has responsibility for delivering research outcomes of national significance and undertaking projects with external collaborators.
