Hi Ale,
Welcome to the WebPA JISCmail list.
In answer to your question, to add more users you need to login as an administrator. I am in the process of updating the user guide [1], but in summary: when you login as the administrator, you should be able to see a section in the left had menu labelled 'admin'. Within this section you need to go to the 'upload data'. There is a template for loading student and staff and another for modules. Otherwise you just need to follow the on screen instructions.
If you have made corrections to the install.php file, could you be kind enough to load the file on to the project source forge patch area [2] Then we can integrate your corrections and make them available to the rest of the community. This also covers the conversion of a file you have done. As you are new to the list you will have missed out the information on patches[3], sent a couple of weeks ago.
I hope this helps and if you have any further questions and queries please do post to the list.
Thanks
Nic

Subject: Adding users?
Hi WebPA users,
Just to present myself - my name is Alejandro Fernandez, and I've just
managed to install the newest version of WebPA here at the ILRT in
Bristol University. It's just a demo, behind a firewall for now.
My question is - how do you add non-administrative users? I could write
a little php script to do it, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel.
Using the install.php file you can add administrators, but I'm not sure
where you go to add student users or others. Did I miss something? I see
that we can use LDAP but this is just a demo install for now, so we just
want a bunch of test users.
Also, I've made some spelling corrections to the install.php file,
changed "institutional reference" to just say "institution" - as I
though that to be clearer - ideally there could be some text to explain
these things as they had me a bit confused when I saw them.
Also I converted the file to unix format (if that's ok - less ^M's) so
another question: is there a better way to feed back changes?
Thanks, and look forward to hearing from you,
Ale
