Dear Colleagues,
As previously announced the next SWWT meeting will take place during the
forthcoming European Space Weather Week #5 in Brussels. I enclose below
a
draft agenda for the meeting. This is a fairly short agenda as we have
limited time for the formal meeting - and will need to finish promptly
so
people can then go and eat. I am very happy to support informal
discussions
at other times during ESWW5.
One important issue for this meeting is to seek nominations for a new
Chair
of ESWW5. My term as Chair ends in the spring 2009, so we will hold an
election for my successor early next year. But to have an election we
need
candidates. Thus we will discuss the search for candidates during the
SWWT
meeting. If you are interested to put yourself forward, or would like to
propose a colleague, please contact Alexi Glover and myself. During the
meeting, we will also consider how to proceed in future on occasions
when the
Chair is not available, and update the Terms of Reference accordingly:
