It may be close enough - providing your subjects are grouped randomly.
There's likely to be a bit of scripting involved in doing all those
compositions though.
Maybe you could randomly select a bunch of your subjects to generate a series
of templates, and then DARTEL all your individuals to these pre-generated
templates. The "Run DARTEL (existing template)" option can be spread around
as many processors as you like, as each registration is done independently.
