Does anyone here know what 'sevish' means?
My children are learning about compass directions and I suddenly remembered a sentence I was taught as a child (by my great grandmother?) 'Never Eat Sevish Wheat'. I believe that I was told that it meant 'rotten', which would make sense in this context but I just want to check.
A quick google search has not been very helpful.
Thank you in advance
Tina
