Hi Joanne,
You would need to make a business case and bid for staff based on a risk and
needs assessment as there has not been a laid down ratio of OHA's -v-
employees for many years.
The OH nurse requirement should be based solely on the risk and the activity
of the organization. For example, a large, heavy industry production
facility with the requirement for a lot of surveillance and monitoring with
around 4000 employees, would need more OHA's than an office based
bank/insurance house with the same employee base and with little physical
risk.
