Dear all,
I am writing to seek your help in finding a UK/EU candidate for a fully
funded PhD studentship to start in April 2009. The internal (University)
mechanisms set a deadline of 28th November, 2008 for applicants with only
limited flexibility.
I've had a student drop out at the last minute and would be obliged if you
would recommend interested recent graduates of yours who are suitable for
this position.
I've placed details at
http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~awm22/research/projects/doenet.html
and encourage them to contact me directly if they have further queries.
An ideal student will need to be comfortable with statistics, but possess
core computer-science/engineering skills. Candidates with a mathematics
background and a graduate networking course (e.g., UCL's MScNDS) would also
be a strong combination.
Many thanks in advance for your time,
Andrew.
