Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the organizing committee, I am pleased to invite you to
participate in the upcoming international conference of Femtochemistry,
Femtobiology, and Femtophysics - Frontiers in Ultrafast Science and
Technology (Femtochemistry IX), which will be held in Beijing, China from
August 8 to 13, 2009. This meeting will bring together scientists and
engineers from the world to discuss the most recent developments in the
areas of femtoscience. The 4-day conference will include the following
topics: structural dynamics, theory and computation, isolated molecules,
clusters and control, liquids, interfaces and nanomaterials, biological
systems, femtophysics, techniques and methods. The deadlines for submission
and registration are Apr. 10 and 25, 2009, respectively. Please visit our
official website for details, web5.pku.edu.cn/femto9.
The Femtochemistry conference series is the most important international
conference on ultrafast sciences and technologies in chemistry, biology,
and
physics. Every 2 years, this conference presents the major worldwide event
that brings together an international network of scientists in ultrafast
science researches. The following is a list of venues of the past
conferences and corresponding Chairs:
1993 Berlin, Germany, Jörn Manz
1995 Lausanne, Swiss, Majed Chergui
1997 Lund, Sweden, Villy Sundström
1999 Leuven, Belgium, Frans De Schryver
2001 Toledo, Spain, Abderrazzak Douhal
2003 Paris, France, Monique Martin and James Hynes
2005 Washington DC, USA, A. Welford Castleman, Jr.
2007 Oxford, UK, David Clary
Rapid advance and increasing impact from China and other Asian nations in
this field are the motivation to select Peking University, Beijing, China,
as the place for Femtochemistry IX. This important conference gives
opportunities to promote a direct exchange of knowledge worldwide and
international cooperation. The former conferences Chairs of the
International Conference Committee give strong supports. More than ten
research institutes in this field participate in the preparatory work. You
are warmly invited to join this event in China, which is a modernized
mystery country.
For companies and institutions interested in sponsoring and/or exhibiting
their products, please directly contact us through email and fax. We
believe
this conference offers an opportunity for your organization to gain maximum
exposure to the scientist network in the femtoscience field and key
stakeholder from the East and the West. Designed benefit is available upon
request.
I am looking forward to seeing you in Beijing, China.
With best wishes,
Prof. Liang-You Peng
