(Part Time, 0.25 fte to 0.75 fte, depending upon language skills)
(Fixed term for 12-15 months from 1 April 2009)
Applications are invited for Research Assistants to work on an EU FP-7
funded cross-European project on Arab audiences in Europe. The
project is based at the University of Leeds but research will take
place in London, Madrid and Nicosia. You will engage in research in at
least one of those European capitals and you will be expected to
travel (or to be based) at these locations. The main tasks you will
engage with are: conduct of focus groups, transcriptions and analysis,
public engagement, event organisation, coordination and data analysis
and document analysis.
You will have a degree in social sciences and have research experience
at a postgraduate level (MA or PhD or equivalent). You should be
fluent in Arabic and in at least one of the other languages of the
project (English, Spanish, Greek).
