TILE: Making libraries work
Free workshop organised by Association of Learning Technology (ALT):
improving provision and services for learners by aggregating and using ‘learner
behaviour data’
It will be hosted at JISC’s London Office (Brettenham House ( South
Entrance), 5 Lancaster Place, London) on- Friday 12 December 1000 for 1030
till 1500. The JISC TILE project has been investigating existing and potential
Web 2.0 services linked to UK HE libraries. Detailed work in the areas
of ‘creating context’ and ‘enabling contribution’ has suggested opportunities
for cross-institution aggregation of learner behaviour data, potentially
available from not only library but also learning and repository systems. We
hope that learning technologists, librarians and others with an interest in the
aggregation and use of ‘learners like me’ data will join in this workshop to
explore the potential of behaviour data to enhance provision.
