--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are a private, non-profit research institute for Public Health and Addiction, associated with Zurich University, and have a well established network in the international scientific community. Due to the promotion of the former director, we are looking for qualified candidates for the post of the
Scientific director
The basis of the institute is a foundation; the board of the foundation is competent for strategic decisions and for the election of the director. All operative tasks are in the hands of the scientific director and the head of administration. Three research directors acquire research projects as well and work as project leaders. More information on the institute and it's activities is available from the homepage www.isgf.ch.
We are looking for a personality with a successful carrier in a health-related discipline (Psychology, Medicine, Sociology, Public Health), with ample experience in conducting and managing empirical research projects in this field, with adequate proficiency in statistical and research methodology, and with experience in guiding a team of researchers. Also, we expect candidates to be able to communicate in German within about half a year.
We can offer an interesting position, good working conditions and a dynamic institution with a potential for further development. The post is intended to cover an 80-100% employment, but a stepwise engagement is also possible.
Candidates are kindly invited to send their application (including CV, list of acquired research projects, list of publications and list of references) to Mrs. Claudia Zweifel-Messerli, Institut für Sucht- und Gesundheitsforschung, Postfach, CH-8031 Zürich.
For any supplementary information, please address yourself to her or to the Chair of the board, Prof. Ambros Uchtenhagen ([log in to unmask]).
