My prestigious and pioneering web mapping Technology Company is busy
implementing a major project to explore the full benefits web mapping can
bring to their customers business.
Our client are looking to appoint a GIS Analyst to join their team.
The selected candidate will be tasked with the following;
• Manage national heritage and environmental mental datasets
• Research new datasets and potential applications of the datasets
within business
• Manage own time effectively and that of others
• Manage data capture projects
• Liaising with data providers
Our Client is as interested in potential candidate's personality match and
people skills as they are in their technical ability. We are looking to secure
applicants with the following;
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• An interest in environmental GIS
• Show initiative with the ability to learn new skill on the job.
• Work independently and work closely within a team
• Meticulous attention to detail
The ideal candidate will possess the following Technical skills and knowledge:
• Solid GIS skills; ArcGIS 9.2, Cadcorp SIS
• Knowledge of spatial data standards
• Experienced using Geodatabases, data cleansing, quality checking of
data.
• Proven ability to manage projects and teams
• Experience with working with national and local government
organisations
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Ideally we are looking for 2-3 years GIS experience but if you feel that you
