As convenor of the 'Gender and German Studies' panel of the seventy-
second meeting of the Conference of University Teachers of German which
will take place on 6-8 April 2009 at the University of Ulster in
Coleraine, I am happy to receive proposals for papers.
The panel focuses on literary and filmic representations of gender;
theoretical and fictional constructions of masculinity / femininity
(and anything in between / beyond); and ways of approaching texts/films
which take account of gender (of author / characters / reader/viewer).
Proposals are welcome for papers dealing with any period from the
Medieval to the 21st century.
If you are interested in contributing to this panel, please send an
abstract of 150-200 words for individual papers, or a panel outline of
50-100 words to me by 30 November 2008.
Best regards,
Renate Rechtien
