Dear Colleagues,
This e-mail is an attempt to reach all Irish MR researchers (clinical and basic)
interested in, or already using diffusion imaging. To that end, we'd appreciate
it if you could forward this notice to anyone and any lists you manage for
individuals in the academic and clinical institutions of Ireland that may be
interested in diffusion imaging - radiology departments, physicists, research
scientists, and all those involved in clinical application and interpretation of MR
imaging and/or neuroscience research.
It is with great pleasure that we announce this effort to establish the Irish
Diffusion Imaging Group (IDIG). IDIG aims to be a multi-disciplinary group
bringing together interested researchers from across Ireland in order to share
ideas, foster collaborations and highlight ongoing research utilising diffusion
based MR imaging.
We are presently seeking new IDIG members both at an organisational level
and as ordinary members. For further information on this new group's proposed
activities and for information on applying for membership please visit the IDIG
website: http://www.idig.synthasite.com/
IDIG will hold regular informal meetings to provide a forum for discussion about
all aspects of diffusion imaging, ranging from the practicalities of data
acquisition and its optimisation to image analysis and post-processing. These
discussions will focus on both research and clinical applications and therefore
it is hoped that the group's membership will span many disciplines both clinical
and technical. Meeting content will be appropriate for members ranging from
those with no prior experience of diffusion based imaging to experts in the field.
The first IDIG meeting will be proposed soon via the e-mail list - so sign up at
the website above to recieve further contact about diffusion imaging in Ireland!
Best Regards,
IDIG Organising Committee
