I’d like to draw your attention to some forthcoming events organised by the
Centre for Longitudinal Studies, namely:
1. CLS Seminar: "Sensitive data: Perceptions and implications" 25 November
2008
This highly topical seminar will explore public and professional perceptions of
sensitive data and consider the implications for those conducting and
analysing survey data and for legislators. The seminar will also provide a
unique opportunity to hear the views of respondents concerning their
involvement in long-term research which includes the collection of sensitive
data.
2. CLS "National Child Development Study and 1970 British Cohort Study: User
Group Meeting 2008” - 3 December 2008
The annual meeting of the NCDS and BCS70 User Group is open to researchers
making use of data from either or both studies. It provides an opportunity for
users to learn more from CLS about recent and planned developments in
relation to both cohort studies. Users will also be able to comment on the
latter and on any and all aspects of data and documentation.
Further information is available from the CLS website -
