Hi,
For 'everyday' module sites running in an particular academic year we use
'Y2008-000123'. Each academic year the year changes but the number remains
with a specific module site.
For 'template' modules we start with 'YOPEN-000123'. Again the number is
specific to a module site.
Course name - we prefer Title Case
For archived courses (i.e. those that ran in a previous academic year, we
prefix the course name with 'Zarchive'. This means the course is moved to
the bottom of the instructors list.
Cheers
David

Subject: What conventions do you use for naming Blackboard coursesites?
Hello, I'm interested in learning what naming conventons are used for
coursesite (specifically the course id) at other institutions.
We currently combine module code and start / end dates but this can become
complex to interpret so I'm looking at other options.
If there's demand I could present the findings e.g. at Durham perhaps?
