This SKYPE version mode of doing BNIM interviews at a distance sounds great!
Re your question below: I don't myself, but I'm sending this to the BNIM
e-list both for information(somebody else might already be doing something
similar, and could tell the list about it) and as encouragement (they might
decide to do the same, and also eventually tell the list about it!).
Really good news!
Best wishes
Tom

Subject: RE: Doing narrative interviews using Skype
Hi Tom
As part of the third year undergraduate course 'The Power of Story and
Narrative' students are using BNIM to interview family members on family
stories or work transitions. Many of the students are separated by oceans
from their families and are using Skype (internet visual/phone calls) to do
the interviews and it is working amazingly well! There is face to screen to
face interaction and the recorded interview can be downloaded as mp3 file,
sent to me with transcript and I can quickly read/hear how wonderfully the
students are doing. The students thought of it themselves.
Do you know has anybody used Skype for BNIM interviewing?
Kind regards
Anne
