University of York is looking to appoint
an experienced statistician to work on the Born in Bradford birth cohort
study as part of the NIHR funded
Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care

research information into practice.

translate research findings from the Born in
Bradford programme into health information for practitioners. You will
also provide statistical advice and
input into the design and analysis of nested studies as part of the Born
in Bradford programme. You will be
based at the Bradford Institute of Health Research and spend one day a
week at the University of York,
joining an established group of medical statisticians led by Professor
Martin Bland as well as coinvestigators
on the programme. You will work closely with the Assistant Director of
Health Information at
Bradford and Airedale and her Born in Bradford data management and
analysis team.
The successful applicant will be a highly motivated and experienced
medical statistician with good oral and
and written communication and presentation skills. The postholder will
be educated to MSc or PhD in a
relevant area and have substantial experience at an equivalent level.
The post requires someone with in
depth methodological knowledge regarding the analysis of large datasets
or epidemiological studies.
