Dear All
As a reminder the NE Regional Post-Graduates who Teach workshop will be
held next week on the 3rd Decemeber at the University of Northumbria in
Newcastle. This workshop is free to all post-graduate students and there
are still plenty of spaces left. This is a great oppotunity to increase
both your teaching skills and career development (and it counts as a day
of training for all those with research council training requirements).
The day will run from 10 till 4 and will involve sessions on the
following topics:
- *Providing effective feedback*, Dr Julie Hulme, Faculty of Sciences,
Staffordshire University
- *When Practicals Make Perfect...* Dr. Belinda Winder, Senior Lecturer,
School of Social Sciences, Nottingham Trent University
- *'Next steps after a PhD'* Dr. Jacqui Akhurst, Principal Lecturer,
Faculty of Health & Life Sciences, York St John University
Lunch and coffee will be provided and University of Northumbria have
kindly provided funding for a wine reception afterwards. PGwT workshops
are great opportunities to both increase your training in teaching,
develop your career and above all network with other post-graduate
students in your region.
