I have heard that scholars these days don't think that Christianity really
was a, or particularly connected to, 'Mystery Religion(s)'. Shouldn't you
look up the most recent scholarship on 'Mystery Religions' and see what
scholars are saying about it right now? Or maybe attend the conference in
Rome held by the Society for Ancient Mediterranean Religions
