US DRUG COURT MODEL CAN WORK IN BRITISH SYSTEM
Pioneering studies from Scotland provided affirmative answers to the first two questions about the
introduction of drug courts (specialised courts which closely monitor drug treatment orders imposed
in lieu of normal sentences) in the UK - whether they can function in Britain's legal systems, and
whether offenders can be retained on the orders.

ALCOHOL HARM REDUCTION LESSONS BENEFIT NON-DRINKING PUPILS TOO
In Australia a rare trial of a harm reduction curriculum showed that it can safeguard pupils at both
ends of the alcohol risk spectrum - reducing adverse consequences among drinkers, while promoting
