Dear colleague,

you may have received this message already, but apparently, the
questionnaire was not attached for some recipients...

During the Fifth European Space Weather Week, Splinter Session 3
on Thursday 20 Nov will be devoted to "Data and application services".
Similar to the splinter session organized during ESWW4, I would like to
devote this session to a round table discussion preceded by a number of
short presentations on existing and future services.
In order to prepare for the session, I would like to collect inputs from
the participants and any other interested parties.

The session is targeted both at service developers and users. This
includes model and tool developers and data providers from the
scientific and application communities. One of the outcomes of this
session should be an overview of what services and tools are available,
with details on their implementation (e.g. data base systems, access
protocols, ...).
The list can be extended after the workshop, a suitable medium for
providing continuous inputs and feedback can be discussed (e.g. a web
forum or blog).

Please take a few minutes to send a reply to the questions below, your
feedback will serve as the basis for the discussion session and would
provide valuable inputs for the space weather community. Please give as
much detail as possible: it would be interesting to be able to build up
an overview of which software and data protocols and methods are used or
needed. All additional inputs and comments are of course welcome too!

Also, if you would like to give a short presentation on any services
that you are operating or developing (including an online
demonstration), please indicate this as well.

I would also like to point out that there will be a SWENET Developers
Forum on Tuesday, for which these inputs would be relevant as well.

Please feel free to forward this message. Thank you in advance, and I
hope to see you at the splinter meeting!
