Thanks Steve and Massimo
This version did not install originally due to
% wget http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/packages/log4cpp/log4cpp-1.0-1.el4.rf.i386.rpm
% rpm -Uvh log4cpp-1.0-1.el4.rf.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
libstdc++.so.6 is needed by log4cpp-1.0-1.el4.rf.i386
libstdc++.so.6(CXXABI_1.3) is needed by log4cpp-1.0-1.el4.rf.i386
libstdc++.so.6(GLIBCXX_3.4) is needed by log4cpp-1.0-1.el4.rf.i386
I had only the x86_64 libstdc++ packages installed originally
libstdc++-3.4.6-10.x86_64
compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.3.x86_64
libstdc++-devel-3.4.6-10.x86_64
but a yum install of libstdc++-3.4.6-10.i386 fixed the problem and log4cpp
installed correctly. The glite-UI install just finished successfully.
BTW, my auto yum updates keep pushing my java version to jdk1.5.0_16 but
only jdk1.5.0_14 will be accepted by the dependencies due to
Error: Missing Dependency: jdk = 2000:1.5.0_14-fcs is needed by package
java-1.5.0-sun-compat
I have seen this error for a while on other service nodes as well and it's
a pain as I keep having to uninstall the newer jdk version to allow the
installation to proceed.
Thanks
Leslie
