Archivist (Local Collections) - £18,120 per annum, full time
Maternity cover, fixed term for 6 months
The Shakespeare Centre Library and Archive houses collections of
international significance relating to Shakespeare biography and performance,
and to the development of Stratford-upon-Avon and the surrounding area
from the twelfth century to the present day.
We are seeking either a qualified archivist or archive assistant with extensive
experience to join our Local Collections team. Responsibilities will include:
· providing an efficient public enquiry service
· supervision of the public searchroom, as part of a duty rota
· management of the Local Collections image collections, to include
accessioning, cataloguing and digitisation
· cataloguing of local collections, using CALM software
The successful applicant will be self-motivated, flexible, and dedicated to
providing a high standard of customer care. You will also possess strong IT
skills, ideally will have previous experience of using CALM, and be able to work
effectively alone and as part of a team.
