Brook, as a leader in the field of sexual health services for young people, in
collaboration with The Open University, is looking to recruit, a full-time fully
funded student to undertake doctoral research in one of the following areas:
1. Best practice in peer-led approaches Brook’s advocacy of young
people as peer educators is central to the organisation’s work.
2. Exploring outreach work Brook excels in engaging with young people
in sexual health promotion; exploring the concept of ‘outreach’ would be useful.
3. Becoming research aware This would investigate the idea
of ‘research awareness’ within the context of Brook.
4. ‘Good sex’ and self-esteem Brook is interested in what
constitutes ‘good sex’ for a young person, and the relationship between self-
esteem and sexual health outcomes.
