*Subject: *Therapeutic Environments conference - what helps, what
hinders?
Hi Patrick -
I am currently organising a conference called */Therapeutic
Environments/* on the 5th December in London. I have attached the URL
link which details the conference agenda.
http://www.pavpub.com/pavpub/conferences/showfull.asp?Conference=770
Evidence suggests that the quality of the social, as well as the
physical environment has a direct impact on the experience and outcomes
of service users. Yet it is often difficult for practitioners to
establish and protect therapeutic environments in inpatient and
residential services. The conference will explore how the environment –
both the physical environment and the social environment– can create an
atmosphere, context, culture, surrounding and setting, which aids
recovery and healing in different institutions.
