Dear Carolina,
We - at UFRN, Brazil - have been comparing successive stages of urban
configuration in Brazilian towns for many years, in order to understand
their possible effects on the formation and transformation of the built
environment with a view to evaluate and monitor the conservation (or
not) of the architectural heritage in old town centres. Various papers
addressing the theme were published in the SSS proceedings in 2001,
2003, 2005 and 2007 (Trigueiro and Medeiros, Trigueiro et al; Medeiros
and Trigueiro).
Regards, Edja Trigueiro
