Dear John,
Rudyard died in the early hours of 18th January 1936, at The Middlesex
Hospital. The day before, Rudyard and Carrie were staying at Brown's
Hotel in London, and had visited their son in law George Bambridge, in
Hampstead, because he was suffering from bronchitis. R and C had been
on their way to Cannes, for a regular winter trip.
Members of the Society will know that I currently have a bee in my
bonnet about misunderstandings of "My Boy Jack". May I share my views?
I would be happy to send the text of a lecture given at the Imperial
War Museum on a couple of occasions!
With best wishes,
John
