I've just read an entertaining new book I strongly recommend:
Death and the Author
by David Ellis (Oxford UP)
mostly about DHLawrence
(Ellis wrote vol3 of the big Cambridge UP bio)...
The misadventures of Lawrence's ashes make very amusing reading.
