Pauline, Carr
Following Pauline's comments I looked into the use of Xylatol. It appears
that this is something that is recommended as a prophylactic measure with
Candida, the aim being to reduce sugar intake and thus nutrient for yeasts.
I could not find any evidence at all that it has any effect on infections of
the skin, other than this. Of course, I may have missed something, but I
find it unlikely that it could have the effect that Pauline reports as being
claimed.
As I have already stated, my first action would be to ensure a proper
clinical diagnosis of the eczema, particularly since it appears this
pre-dated the use of headsets. Once I had this then I would be in a position
to decide how to manage it. So referral to a dermatologist would be my
suggestion.

Chris
