The Department of Chemistry at the University of Virginia seeks to
hire a tenure-track Assistant Professorship in the field of physical
chemistry, appointment beginning August 25, 2009. Selection criteria
will include a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field and post-doctoral
experience are required. Candidates must possess a strong record of
innovative research, the potential for establishing an active and
highly visible research program, and demonstrate an interest in and
commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate
levels. Preference will be given to candidates with research interests
in sustainable energy, catalysis, nanochemistry, photochemistry,
