The Role
We are seeking a dynamic web publisher to take up an exciting
opportunity to write, edit, organise, maintain and promote the
University of Kent's large and dynamic web site. Key responsibilities
will be to provide web publishing, site promotion, e-marketing and
administrative support as part of Kent's Web Content and Editorial
Team.
You will be working on the content of the University's central web
pages and e-marketing materials focussing on student recruitment,
research, events and other key external relations activities. This
will involve working with marketing and communications colleagues
across the department as well as content providers from around the
University.
The Person
You will have some experience of handling electronic text and using
web sites as well as good oral and written communications skills.
Highly developed interpersonal skills and a desire to develop new
skills and acquire wider knowledge and deeper understanding of the
web, e-marketing and social networking sites are a must. An
appreciation of higher education issues and effective website
performance is also expected.
The Department
The Communications & Development Office is a dynamic, innovative and
friendly team covering the key areas of congregations and events,
media, marketing and communications, publications, web content and
editorial, and alumni. The department is responsible for planning and
implementing many of the University's external relations and internal
communications activities and works on campaign activity for many
individual academic and support departments.
