Hi Rachel,
We were just considering the very same question today.
If you look at the September news sheet which was just recently sent out
to participating institutions it does give this a mention and I quote
"You can take a copy of the metadata and download theses from your own
HEI digitised for EThOS, for your own IR. You can do this manually at
any time, but copies will eventually be supplied to you for bulk upload.
However the team's first priority is to ensure that the new data service
works well for the end users, so this will follow at a later date"
It would be helpful to have some idea of timescale for this. We are
considering acquiring the full text from EThOS and creating metadata
ourselves in the short term, but if we thought delivery might be within
a few months then we would probably reconsider this.
Regards
Janet
