Joy,
You can put dimensions in the format property, eg "black and white
photographic print, 10 x 8 inches". I would suggest not using an
ampersand in the value as some systems can interpret this as a control
character, especially in XML.
Alternatively you can use the format property with the value "black and
white photograph" and separate the specific attributes of the resource
into the medium and extent properties. For example the value of medium
as "photographic paper" (as opposed to, say, a negative on cellulose
acetate or silver gelatine) and the value of extent as "10 x 8 inches".

Subject: Question on photograph format data
Dear list,
We are new to Dublin Core and we're struggling to figure out where to
put some basic information.
For photographs, where should we list the original format, e.g., "black
& white photographic print" ?
Is Format the right element to use? Has anyone put the dimensions in
the same element, or do we need to repeat it?
Thanks in advance for your advice.
