Apologies for cross posting and for using the discussion pages for a job ad
The School of Public and International Affairs at Virginia Tech has an
opening in its Urban Affairs and Planning program. There are a number of
geographers in the School of Public and International Affairs and also
within the Urban Affairs Program that is part of the School - including the
chair of the Search Committee, Paul Knox,
The job description is broad - Metropolitan and Community Development - and
while we have teaching needs in Urban Affairs and Planning these can be met
in a diversity of ways that would certainly give scope for an urban
geographer both to teach and research in ways that would develop their
career both within Geography and in Urban Studies or Urban Planning more
broadly.
If you are an urban geographer keen to teach and research in an
interdisciplinary context, please consider applying; the deadline is 12
November for online applications which should include references
