I believe Landclean used LTD on the avenue coke works (could be
wrong though) www.landclean.com I think but google them if not.
It should be able to remove all but the very last vestiges of
hydrocarbons - the lower you need to go, the longer the soil stays in
the cooker. The amount of clay in the material will have an effect
because if you have clods sticking together the clod becomes baked
like a brick, possibly leaving stuff inside which can't get out into the off
gas. Not sure there's a massive amount of UK based usage out there
yet, nothing wrong with using US examples - the soil and the petrol are
the same as over here - just ours isn't as big as they have.
