I think the point is that that is a representation (i.e. not perfect
scale) of the CSM not a technical drawing

Nik/List members,
From a local authority perspective we don't have in house cad tech guys
etc so it may be a step up from trying to draw CSM in word (which is a
pain). Although I admit it looks a bit basic if its conceptually sound,
functional and quick to use I may consider using it for Part IIA desktop
studies.

I have just had a quick look on the LQM website to see the conceptual
model
programme which is now being sold/touted for use and am appalled at what
I've seen. I have attached a bite from the web site showing a site
plan.
I would expect my wife's primary school class (age 7) to produce
better!!
If this is as good as it gets I would prefer hand drawings to be
submitted
with SI reports.
We have a CAD lad in house who in no time can generate a cross section
plan
where required and site plans for every project we work on. This looks
to
be etchasketch for consultants!! If you want a computered aided drawing
-
get a CAD tech!
If this is not a true representation of the quality of the work which
can be
obtained from the conceptual model programme please put better examples
on
the web site.
