H Vicky,
I hope you, and others with similar interests/ values, would consider applying for the Plymouth DClin too, where we would appreciate, and do our best to encourage, your community/critical psychology leanings.
But I also wish there were employment opportunitites for people to take on roles as community psychologists in the health and social care and voluntary sectors without having to go down the route of becoming a clinical psychologist. ;there is a risk that training as a clinical psychologists might divert and professionalise good and potentially creative/ challenging/ critical psychologists into roles that were not the ones they are really wanting to take on, nor that communities necessarily most need.
