The Subject Centre for Languages, Linguistics and Area Studies has just
issued a call for 'mini-projects'. Employees of UK higher education
institutions may bid for up to £1,000. Projects must relate to the
learning and teaching of languages, linguistics or area studies in UK
higher education and be of benefit to the wider community. For full

> Funding can be used for a variety of purposes, including buyout of
teaching time (for action research projects), hiring venues, catering,
travel bursaries, small equipment purchases (e.g. recording devices),
and reasonable travel expenses.
