'Musicians of Britain and Ireland, 1900-1950' (MBI) is a project funded
for 12 months from October 2008 by the UK's Joint Information Systems
Committee (JISC). Its purpose is to digitise recordings of performers
who have been little heard since the end of the 78 era. Recordings will
be presented in FLAC format and may be downloaded free of charge.
A first list of discs under consideration for digitisation is available
at
http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pinwh5fO4Tioh135vqVqkCg&output=html&gid=0&single=true&range=A1:E835
We should be very grateful to receive comments on this list. Questions
to consider are listed at the beginning; but we welcome all feedback
that may contribute to the improvement of the selection.
We thank you in advance for your help. Please feel free to forward this
notice to other lists.
