Subject: [AREA-STUDIES-NETWORK] Funding available for area studies projects
The Subject Centre for Languages, Linguistics and Area Studies has just issued a call for 'mini-projects'. Employees of UK higher education institutions may bid for up to £1,000. Projects must relate to the learning and teaching of languages, linguistics or area studies in UK higher education and be of benefit to the wider community. For full details visit http://www.llas.ac.uk/news/2839
Funding can be used for a variety of purposes, including buyout of teaching time (for action research projects), hiring venues, catering, travel bursaries, small equipment purchases (e.g. recording devices), and reasonable travel expenses.
AREA STUDIES is among the priority areas for funding.
